Weaver Returns to Highest Ranking in Latest PSA Women’s World Rankings

USA’s Olivia Weaver has returned to her highest ranking of World No.6 in the latest PSA World Rankings as the Windy City Open continues in Chicago.

Weaver moved up by one place as she overtakes Belgium’s Tinne Gilis, who drops two places to World No.8. Egypt’s Nour El Tayeb has also moved up one place to World No.7. Both Weaver and Gilis will feature in tonight’s quarter finals as they take on Nouran Gohar and Hania El Hammamy.

Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam is back to within one place of her highest World Ranking as she moves up one place to World No.15. The Malaysian narrowly lost out to England’s Georgina Kennedy in the last 16 of the Windy City Open but will be looking for strong performances in the remaining events of the season to make a push towards the top 10.

Hania El Hammamy remains as the World No.2 but a potential semi-final clash with Nouran Gohar in Chicago tomorrow night will not only decide one of the two finalists but also who will be the World No.2 come next Monday.
