VITAGEN Singapore Squash Open 2023 – Day Four: Preview & How To Watch Live

16 November 2023

Day four of the VITAGEN Singapore Squash Open 2023 is just around the corner, with eight quarter-final matches from the glass court at the OCBC Arena to come.

Play is set to get underway from 12:00 (GMT+8), with every match from the Gold-level PSA World Tour event available to watch live on SQUASHTV.

Quarter-finals day will start with Belgian No.3 seed Nele Gilis taking on Egypt’s Rowan Elaraby for a spot in the last four. Both players came through their opening matches in straight games and exactly 27 minutes a piece, with victories over Tomato Ho and Hollie Naughton, respectively.

This match will be followed up by what looks an enticing clash between Mohamed and Marwan ElShorbagy. No.3 seed Mohamed will be looking to stretch his 75% win rate against his brother, the last victory of which coming in the final of the 2022 Oracle Netsuite Open. The winner of this clash will play either World No.1 Ali Farag or No.7 seed Youssef Soliman in the semi-finals.

Elsewhere in the men’s draw, recently crowned U.S. Open champion Paul Coll and World No.3 Mostafa Asal will lock horns in a blockbuster quarter-final and Diego Elias will face Fares Dessouky, after he saw off the threat of England’s Curtis Malik in the second-round.

After defeating No.1 seed Nour El Tayeb in a thrilling four-game clash on day three, Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam will look to go one further against Sarah-Jane Perry, while fellow Englishwoman Georgina Kennedy takes on No.5 seed Salma Hany.

Meanwhile, No.4 seed Tinne Gilis will look to make a second semi-final appearance of the season when she squares off against USA’s Sabrina Sobhy in the opening match of the evening session.
