Amina Orfi v Sivasangari Subramniam

A first World Tour title will be claimed by either Amina Orfi or Sivasangari Subramaniam as the pair both overcame the English top two Georgina Kennedy and Sarah-Jane Perry to claim places in the final.

Orfi has reached a Bronze event final before, at the Squash on Fire Open, where she overcame Subramaniam on route to a final loss against Belgium’s Tinne Gilis. The score between Orfi and Subramaniam on that day was 3-0 to the Egyptian, but was the first event back for the Malaysian after her injury.

Orfi’s hard hitting style will undoubtedly cause problems for Subramaniam, but the Malaysian has been in fine form of late and defeated Egyptian No.4 Nour El Tayeb in the Singapore Open. If she can recreate that performance and start to move the tall frame of Orfi around the court, she may just eat into the legs of the teenager.

Eleinen v Yow Ng

A first World Tour title is also up for grabs in the men’s final as Egypt’s Aly Abou Eleinen takes on Eain Yow Ng for the third time on the PSA World Tour.

Yow Ng overcame top seed Mohamed ElSherbini in emphatic fashion in the semi-finals, taking a tight opener before cruising to victory in the next two games. Yow Ng has settled into a solid and structured style of play of late and is now starting to use his underrated physicality to control matches and make himself very hard to beat.

Abou Eleinen has shown his class once again on the PSA World Tour. Using his more attritional style of play to bury his opponents in the back corners before unleashing his attacking ability. Eleinen is now a top 20 player and will be determined to score a third title to push his way towards the top 10.

The pair have met twice before, with the Malaysian winning both encounters. Can Eleinen score a first win over Yow Ng to claim his biggest title of his career?
