Squash In The Land Presented By Greater Cleveland Squash – Day Three: How to Watch Live

7 March 2024

Day three of the Squash In The Land Presented By Greater Cleveland Squash 2024 will see the top half quarter finals take place on the all-glass court at Playhouse Square, with eight players looking to secure places in the semi-finals of the Silver and bronze events. Play starts at 17:00 (GMT-5) with action streamed live on SQUASHTV.

Men’s top seed Eain Yow Ng will be first onto court as he takes on Mexico’s Leonel Cardenas for the fourth time. Yow Ng has claimed three wins over Cardenas in all three clashes but has been struggling with his form of late and was yet to win a match in 2024 prior to this week.

England’s Alicia Mead features in her first World Tour event quarter final tonight as she faces Malaysia’s No.4 seed Sivasangari Subramaniam. Mead will need to produce her best squash if she is to put up a fight against the top 10 chasing Malaysian. Subramaniam has already claimed a World Tour title this season, winning the Hong Kong FC Open. She’ll be hoping to secure another title this week to move closer to the top 10.

The third match of the days play will see the last remaining home male player Shahjahan Khan face Scotland’s Greg Lobban. Khan was forced to come back from 2-0 down to move past Mathias Knudsen. He may be feeling the effects of his RD2 battle but will need to be in top shape to perform well agains the Scot.

An all English affair between women’s top seed Georgina Kennedy and Lucy Beecroft is the last match on day three. The pair have only met once before on the PSA Tour with Kennedy coming through in straight games back in 2021. Both players have progressed strongly in recent years having graduated from their respective US colleges and will no doubt treat the Cleveland crowd.
