The semi-final line-ups will be confirmed tonight in Cleveland as the bottom half quarter finals of the Squash In The Land Presented by Greater Cleveland Squash take place at the Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio.

Men’s No.2 seed Youssef Ibrahim is first onto court on day four as he takes on Pakistan’s Muhammad Asim Khan. Ibrahim possesses great ability at the front of the court and is capable of beating anyone on his day. The Egyptian hasn’t claimed a title since 2019 and with top seed Eain Yow Ng exiting last night, could this pave the way for Ibrahim’s first World Tour title?

Nour El Tayeb turned 31 today and will be looking to celebrate with a birthday win as she faces Wales’ Emily Whitlock in the seance match of the night. The pair have played four times, with Whitlock yet to score a win over the Egyptian, the most recent meeting coming at the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions 2024 where El Tayeb won in straight games.

Spain’s Bernat Jaume scored a big win over Egypt’s former World No.3 Omar Mosaad in round two and features in a Bronze event quarter final for the first time. He’ll take on fellow-European Nathan Lake for a spot in the final four. Lake is playing some of the best squash of his career at the moment, which is reflected in the rankings as he currently sits at his highest of World No.22.

Home hopes rest on the shoulders of Olivia Weaver as she features in the final match of the evening, taking on dangerous Egyptian Farida Mohamed. Weaver usually plays some of her best squash on home soil and will be hoping to inflict her revenge on Mohamed, after the Egyptian won 3-0 at the Carol Weymuller Open in January.
