Paris Squash 2023 Semi-Finals: El Sherbini Cruises Into Final

Nour El Sherbini cruised into the Paris Squash 2023 final as she ruthlessly disposed of Gina Kennedy in straight games.

‘The Warrior Princess’ had the match sewn up in just 25 minutes, defeating the England No.1 3-0: 11-7, 11-2 and 11-5.

The quality from the World No.2’s racket was exceptional, as Kennedy struggled to find answers to what the seven-time World Champion was throwing at her.

The court conditions were well suited for El Sherbini, who had plenty of options when finding her targets against Kennedy.

El Sherbini meets a familiar face in Nouran Gohar in the final, in what will be a shootout for the World No.1 spot.

“In any match that goes to five, I always look to see what happened. I think something happened and I learned a lot from this match. I make sure I am prepared for this match every time,” El Sherbini said.

“I’m looking forward to it [the final]. It’s always a tough one and I think Nouran [Gohar] is the most consistent player on Tour and she’s reached almost every final.

“I’m looking forward to it – it’s another final, another battle and I’ll prepare myself and be ready.”
