Optasia Championships 2024 – Day One: How to Watch Live

12 March 2024

Day one of the 2024 Optasia Championships will see 32 players compete for 16 places in round two of the PSA Gold and Bronze events. 4 men’s matches and women’s matches will take place on the all-glass court whilst the same schedule of matches will take place on a side court at Wimbledon Squash Club. Play starts at 12:00 (GMT) with glass court matches live on SQUASHTV.

Plenty of home interest fills day one on the glass court, starting with Millie Tomlinson who takes on Egypt’s Nardine Garas for a spot in round two. She’ll be followed by Simon Herbert, who will be looking to overturn a 25 place deficit in the rankings as he takes on Germany’s Raphael Kandra.

Katie Malliff and George Parker feature in the two matches after the opening two. Malliff will face Spain’s Marta Dominguez for the fourth time in their careers. The Englishwoman will be looking to maintain her 100% win record over Dominguez, who is yet to register a win at a World Tour event. Leicestershire’s George Parker will also be up against Spanish opposition as he takes on World No.17 Iker Pajares. The Spanish No.1 has been in great form of late and will be hoping to continue his momentum in London this week.

The final two English players featuring in round two are Torrie Malik and men’s wildcard Jordan Warne. Malik opens the evening session, taking on France’s Enora Villard, whilst Warne will face Egypt’s Karim El Hammamy.
