Masotti Reaches Career-Best Position In Latest Men’s World Rankings

France’s Baptiste Masotti has reached a career-high position in the latest PSA Men’s World Rankings, climbing one place to World No.13.

Elsewhere, there are positive movements within the world’s top ten for Tarek Momen and Joel Makin, while Aly Abou Eleinen and Eain Yow Ng have both reached joint career-best positions.

Baptiste Masotti

New Ranking: No.13

Previous Ranking: No.14

After reaching the last-sixteen round of the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions thanks to victory over India’s Ramit Tandon, Masotti has risen one place in the men’s world rankings.

The 28-year-old has climbed above Colombia’s Miguel Rodriguez who previously held this position – with only Youssef Soliman, Victor Crouin, and Marwan ElShorbagy now standing between him and a spot in the world’s top ten.


Tarek Momen

New Ranking: No.8

Previous Ranking: No.9

Momen has jumped above ElShorbagy inside the top ten in the Men’s World Rankings after reaching the quarter-finals of the Platinum-level J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

The Egyptian, who has a career-high ranking of World No.3, claimed wins over Faraz Khan and Iker Pajares before losing to World No.1 Ali Farag in four games and just over an hour of action.


Joel Makin

New Ranking: No.9

Previous Ranking: No.10

Despite not competing last week in New York, Welsh No.1 Makin rises one place in the Men’s World Ranking, with England No.2 ElShorbagy dropping beneath him.

Makin reached the semi-finals of the New Zealand Open and the quarter-finals of the Florida Open upon his return from injury in December and now sits at World No.9.


Aly Abou Eleinen

New Ranking: No.14

Previous Ranking: No.17

Hong Kong Football Club Open champion Eleinen has climbed to a joint career-best position of World No.14 in the latest rankings.

The Egyptian, who has three PSA titles to his name, has risen three places, overtaking Rodriguez, Mohamed ElSherbini and Fares Dessouky in the process.
