King Withdraws from Windy City Open

New Zealand’s World No.10 Joelle King has withdrawn from the upcoming Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family due to an ongoing back injury.

King was due to make her first appearance on the tour since October, but will now be replaced as the No.8 seed by USA’s Olivia Weaver.

Weaver receives a bye into round two, while Egypt’s Farida Mohamed becomes one of the 9/16 seeds and also receives a bye into the last 32. Fayrouz Aboelkheir becomes a 17/32 seed and will play France’s Enora Villard in the opening round. Meanwhile, Finland’s Emilai Soini enters the draw and will play Zeina Mickawy.

Tickets for the event are available here, while live action will be streamed on SQUASHTV.  Matches from the semi-finals and finals will also be shown by PSA’s broadcast partners.
