King & ElShorbagy Named PSA World Tour Players Of The Month

New Zealand Open and Singapore Open winners Joelle King and Mohamed ElShorbagy have been named as the PSA World Tour Players of the Month for November.

Joelle King found some of the best form of her career last month as she claimed the Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Open on home soil before going to claim the MARIGOLD Singapore Open the week after.

King impressively didn’t drop a game en route to the final where she beat Wales’ surprise finalist Tesni Evans in the final, again 3-0. The MARIGOLD Singapore Squash Open was next for the New Zealand No.1 . She cruised through to the semi-finals once again to play USA’s Sabrina Sobhy for a place in the final. After beating the American 3-2, she then backed up this performance to defeat dangerous Egyptian Nour El Tayeb in straight games the lift the trophy.

ElShorbagy claimed his third title of the season as he motored through the draw to claim the Robertson Lodges New Zealand Open title, only dropping one game all event, which was in the final to the No.1 seed Paul Coll.

‘The Beast’ carried his fine form into the MARIGOLD Singapore Open and again impressively only dropped one game o his way to the Gold event title. That game was to Wales’ Joel Makin in the semi-finals. He then made light work of World No.5 and U.S. Open champion Diego Elias in the final to claim his 48th PSA title.
