Hany Up to No.13 in PSA Women’s World Rankings

Egypt’s Salma Hany has risen a place to No.13 following her round two finish at last week’s J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

Salma Hany

New Ranking: No.13

Previous Ranking: No.14

26-year-old Hany has struggled for form this season but has taken a step closer to her career-high ranking of No.7 despite bowing out in the last 32 of the Tournament of Champions.

Hany went down in five games to England’s Sarah-Jane Perry and will next compete at the DAC Pro Squash Classic between February 7-11.

Jasmine Hutton

New Ranking: No.21

Previous Ranking: No.23

England’s Jasmine Hutton celebrates a career-high ranking this week after rising two places to No.21 courtesy of a second round finish at the Tournament of Champions.

Melissa Alves

New Ranking: No.22

Previous Ranking: No.29

France’s Melissa Alves has moved closer to a return to the top 20 after reaching the last 16 in New York, where she eventually came unstuck against eventual winner Nour El Sherbini.

Satomi Watanabe

Like Hutton, a second round exit at the Tournament of Champions is enough to lift Japan’s Satomi Watanabe up to a career-high ranking.
