Gaynor Cup & Motor City Open – Day One: How to Watch Live

The PSA World Tour action continues in North America this week as the Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup and Sturbridge Capital Motor City Open get underway today with players descending on Cincinnati and Detroit looking to capture the Silver event titles.

The Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup features eight matches on day one with two home players, Marina Stefanoni and wildcard Emma Trauber, looking to draw on the home support to progress to round two. They’ll be up against Switzerland’s Cindy Merlo and Finland’s Emilia Soini.

Recent Carol Weymuller runner-up and J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions quarter finalist Fayrouz Aboelkheir will be looking to continue her excellent form as she faces Ineta Hopton in her opening match. Aboelkheir is one of four Egyptians featuring on day one as Mariam Metwally, Haya Ali and Nadine Shahin will also look to move into round two.

A mere 236 miles away in Detroit, The Sturbridge Motor City also kicks off today with four matches taking place on two courts in Birmingham Athletic Club. Action from court three will be available to watch live on SQUASHTV.

Home favourite Timothy Brownell will open play at 16:00 (GMT-5) as he takes on Malaysia’s Addeen Idrakie in round one. Compatriot Faraz Khan will also be in action as he takes on India’s Abhay Singh. Khan recently scored a big win over Qatar’s Abdulla Al Tamimi and will be hoping to continue that form.
