Gawad Up to No.11 in PSA Men’s World Rankings

Egypt’s Karim Abdel Gawad has risen a spot to No.11 in this week’s PSA Men’s World Rankings.

New Ranking: No.11

Previous Ranking: No.12

Former World Champion and World No.1 Karim Abdel Gawad has moved up to No.11 after the previous incumbent – Gawad’s fellow Egyptian Youssef Soliman – saw his points for a runner-up finish at last season’s CIB Zed Open expire.

Gawad will take on World No.5 Paul Coll in the second round of the Paris Squash event tonight in Paris. Watch live on SQUASHTV from 18:15.

New Ranking: No.26

Previous Ranking: No.27

The Qatari No.1 has moved up a spot to reach his highest ranking since May of this year. He takes the place of Egypt’s Moustafa El Sirty, whose quarter-final points for the 2022 CIB Zed Open have expired.

Leonel Cardenas

New Ranking: No.27

Previous Ranking: No.28

Like Al Tamimi, Mexico’s Leonel Cardenas also benefits from El Sirty’s slide down the rankings as he moves up to reach No.27 in the world.

Sebastien Bonmalais

New Ranking: No.29

Previous Ranking: No.30

Frenchman Sebastien Bonmalais has recorded his highest ranking since June, with Egypt’s Omar Mosaad losing his points from his semi-final finish at last season’s CIB Zed Open.
