24 April 2023

Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng has returned to the top 20 of the PSA Men’s World Rankings for the first time since November.

Here’s our look at the most notable movers of the week, as of Monday April 24.

Eain Yow Ng

New Ranking: No.20

Previous Ranking: No.21

Kuala Lumpur-born Eain Yow won the Cannon Kirk Gillen Markets Irish Squash Open on Saturday to leapfrog Qatar’s Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi and take the No.20 spot this week.

Eain Yow beat Egypt’s Aly Abou Eleinen 3-0 in their Dublin title decider to win his sixth PSA title.

Baptiste Masotti

New Ranking: No.14=

Previous Ranking: No.15=

Frenchman Baptiste Masotti moves up to a career-high ranking of No.14.

The previous occupant of that spot – Karim Abdel Gawad – saw his semi-final points for the 2022 Manchester Open expire, meaning his average points total has dipped below Masotti’s, resulting in Masotti moving above him.

Previous Ranking: No.15=

Gawad’s drop has also seen Switzerland’s Nicolas Mueller rise up a place and he shares the No.14 spot with Masotti due to their points total being identical.
