No.3 seed Olivia Weaver and No.2 seed Tinne Gilis will contest the PSA World Tour Silver final in what will be their fourth meeting on the PSA World Tour, with Weaver boasting a 3-0 lead against her opponent in their head-to-head record.

Weaver, a runner-up at this tournament in 2022, claimed a big upset against top seed Georgina Kennedy in the previous round, marking the third match in a row where she has failed to drop a single game.

Gilis has also enjoyed a 100 per cent record in Cincinnati this week. The 26-year-old – a quarter-finalist at this tournament in 2020 and 2022 – claimed wins against wildcard Emma Trauber and Egyptian duo Fayrouz Aboelkheir and Rowan Elaraby to book her spot in the title decider.

Weaver is aiming to capture her first PSA title since the Chestnut Hill Classic presented by Springside Chestnut Hill Academy last March, while Gilis’s last title came on the PSA Challenger Tour last May, when she won the Richmond Open.

Weaver has dominated the pair’s previous meetings, winning three matches on the bounce and leading 7-2 on aggregate in games. However, it’s their first meeting since October 2022 and both players have since established themselves as top 10 players.
