Canary Wharf Classic Day Three: How to Watch Live

14 March 2023

Round two of the GillenMarkets Canary Wharf Classic concludes tonight as the remaining four of the top eight seeds enter the draw, where they face the four round one winners and compete for a place in tomorrow’s quarter finals.

In an action-packed day featuring no fewer than five former World No.1s, play begins with a battle between two of the tour’s most entertaining players, as Switzerland’s Nicolas Mueller faces Egyptian No.8 seed Mazen Hesham.

Then, in a match that will be streamed for free on Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, No.4 seed and former World No.1 Paul Coll of New Zealand takes on Egypt’s former World No.1 Karim Abdel Gawad, who has recently returned to the tour after a lengthy injury layoff, followed by Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng versus former World No.1 and reigning World Champion Ali Farag of Egypt.

The final match of the evening is sure to be a treat for the home fans, with an all-English battle of former World No.1s to look forward to, as Mohamed ElShorbagy takes on wildcard James Willstrop. While ElShorbagy has spoken numerous times about his respect for ‘the Marksman’, he’ll no doubt be targeting a convincing performance to boost his ambitions to return to World No.1, which will happen should he win the event and incumbent Mostafa Asal fails to reach the final.

All four matches from Canary Wharf are available to watch live on SQUASHTV. You can also keep track of the scores here.
