Canadian Women’s Open: Quarter Finals – How To Watch Live

28 March 2023

We’ve reached the quarter final stage at the Canadian Women’s Open Bronze event with all eight seeds making their way through to the final eight after securing RD2 wins.

A repeat of a tough Women’s World Team Championships match is up first as top seed Amanda Sobhy takes on home favourite Hollie Naughton for a spot in the semi-finals. Sobhy took the match in December 14-12 in the fifth game against Naughton to help her USA team progress through to the semi-finals. Naughton will be determined to overturn the 0-3 head-to-head against the World No.5 with a home crowd behind her.

Two more Americans feature in the next quarter finals as No.3 and 4 seeds Sabrina Sobhy and Olivia Clyne look to progress to the final four. Sobhy will take on England’s Lucy Beecroft, whilst Clyne will be up against the returning Malaysian, Sivasangari Subramaniam.

Wales’ Emily Whitlock recovered from 2-0 down against Egypt’s Kenzy Ayman in her RD2 match and now faces another Egyptian in the form of No.2 seed Salma Hany in the final quarter final of the night.

Quarter final action will be available to watch live on SQUASHTV. Keep up to date with live scores here.
