Al Tamimi Captures QSF 4 Title

Home favourite Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi captured the QSF 4 title last night as he overcame former World Champion Tarek Momen in a five-game thriller at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar.

Al Tamimi had already won the QSF 3, PSA Challenger Tour event earlier on in the month, but he ensured he added the QS4, PSA World Tour Bronze trophy to his collection courtesy of a 7-11, 11-3, 12-10, 6-11, 12-10 victory after 72 minutes of action.

Momen had won all four of their previous matches, with their last encounter seeing the Egyptian get the better of Al Tamimi on the latter’s home soil thanks to a 3-1 win at last month’s QTerminals Qatar Classic.

World No.25 Al Tamimi finally broke his duck against Momen though to secure the ninth PSA title of his career and his second of the 2023-24 season.

Al Tamimi’s next tournament will see him compete at the Hong Kong Football Club Open between November 21-25.
