Order of play: Semi-Finals

Khafagy v Arnold

In a first meeting between the two, Malak Khafagy will be looking to continue her good form in this event as she takes on home favourite Rachel Arnold for a spot in a Bronze event final. Arnold has gone one better than her best finish at a Bronze event just by reaching the final four this week. She’ll be looking to go a step further as the higher ranked player and earn a spot in the final.

Asal v Tandon

After a big win against France’s Victor Crouin in the quarter finals, India’s Ramit Tandon will come up against the returning Mostafa Asal for a spot in the final. Asal returned from suspension at the Grasshopper Cup last month but after a controversial loss to Baptiste Masotti, the Egyptian will be as determined as ever to reach the final and capture his first title of the season.

El Tayeb v Subramaniam

Top seed Nour El Tayeb will be up against Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam in the third semi-final of the day and will have to battle against the home crowd to progress. El Tayeb has been in good form this season and has already captured a title this season – at the South Western Open – and will be hoping a second title is close.

Yow Ng v Gawad

In the last match of the day, former World Champion Karim Abdel Gawad will take on Asian Games Champion Eain Yow Ng for a place in back to back finals on the PSA World Tour. Gawad captured the Grasshopper Cup in great style, beating Joel Makin in the final. Yow Ng loves playing in his home country and will be looking to capture a second win over the Egyptian World No.6 with the home crowd behind him.
