White Oaks SF: All Canadian Final Set In St Catharines

15 October 2022

It will be an all-Canadian final at the White Oaks Court Classic in St Catharines. Nick Sachvie and George Crowne will do battle for the Challenger 5 level title on home soil.

Top seed Sachvie, who is playing at his home club, came up against compatriot Salah Eltorgman in his semi-final contest. He was consistently on top throughout the match, winning 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 in 42 minutes to move through to the final of this event for the second season in succession.

He will face fellow Canadian George Crowne in the final on Saturday. Crowne took on reigning World Junior Champion Rowan Damming, defeating the Dutchman in straight games. The first game was a close one, with Crowne taking it 11-8, and from there, it was more comfortable. He dropped just ten points across the next two games to take the win, and move through to a maiden Tour final.
