St James Classic SF: Mohamed and Yuk Into Final

Egypt’s Farida Mohamed and Hong Kong’s Chan Sin Yuk will meet in the final of the St James Women’s 20K Classic presented by Expression Networks in Springfield, VA.

Top seed Mohamed took on Egyptian counterpart Jana Shiha in the semi-finals of the Challenger 20 level competition, and she was in imperious form. The World No.17 took the victory in straight games, winning 11-7, 11-7, 11-9 to move through to a 10th final on the PSA Tour.

She will take on Hong Kong’s Chan Sin Yuk on Saturday evening, after the tournament’s No.4 seed came through a tough three-game contest with England’s Katie Malliff. The opening game went to a tie-break, with Yuk taking it 12-10, before she then went on to win the second and third games, both by 11-8 scorelines.
