St George’s Hill Open: Tournament Preview

The next in a long list of events to be held in Weybridge, England will be the St George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club Open, which will begin on Wednesday, November 23.

The Challenger 10 level men’s tournament will feature a 16-strong draw, led by former World No.1 James Willstrop. He will be joined by fellow Yorkshireman Sam Todd, and compatriot Joe Lee in the top four seeds. Abhay Singh, who claimed the 4th HCL SRFI Indian Tour – Jodhpur Leg title on Monday afternoon, will be the No.4 seed.

Four more Brits will be among the eight seeds for the Challenger 10 level event. Welshman Emyr Evans will join the English trio of Simon Herbert, Ben Coleman and Robert Downer in that seeding bracket.

The Czech Republic’s Viktor Byrtus, New Zealand’s Temwa Chileshe and Frenchman Edwin Clain make up the rest of the international contingent info the event, with England’s Paul Broadberry being the tournament’s wildcard.
