Orfi & Almezayen Named November PSA Challenger Tour Players of the Month

Egypt’s Amina Orfi and Kuwait’s Abdullah Almezayen have been named as the November PSA Challenger Tour Players of the Month for November.

15-year-old Orfi only appeared in her first ever PSA event in September as she received a wildcard spot in the CIB Egyptian Open Platinum event, narrowly losing out to USA’s Sabrina Sobhy. She followed that up by claiming victory in her second PSA event at the 4th HCL SRFI Indian Tour – Jodhpur Leg 2022. Orfi came in as the No.8 seed and defeated the No.4 and No.2 seeds en route to the final.

She then defeated top seed Aira Azman in straight games to claim her first PSA title.

Kuwait’s Abdullah Almezayen is no stranger to success on the PSA tour, he’s claimed 21 titles so far in his career and added the latest to that list at the 2nd Kuwait International Squash Championship 2022 Challenger 10 event.

The former World No.33 was unseeded in the event and reached the quarter finals in comfortable style. He then met No.2 seed Martin Svec for a place in the semi-finals, in just 25 minutes, the Kuwaiti was in the final four winning 11-0 in the third game. He then continued his dominance in his matches and beat the No.4 seed and the No.1 seed in the next two games 3-0 to win his 21st title.
