Hong Kong Football Club Christmas PSA: Tournament Preview

The first of ten events taking place over the Christmas period on the Challenger Tour will be the Hong Kong Football Club Christmas PSA, which will be run from Monday 20 to Thursday 23 December.

The Challenger 5 level tournament features both a men’s and women’s draw, with the event being domestically restricted on entrants due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The two players who won at Kowloon Cricket Club earlier this month, at the KCC Challenge Cup, will both be in the field. Harley Lam and Cheng Nga Ching will be aiming to win again, and the latter will be the top seed in the women’s draw.

Her nearest competitors for the title will be Toby Tse, Wai Sze Wing and Tam Mariko Cho Nga, with the three all sitting tied at World No.214, 23 places below Ching in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Lam will be the No.3 seed in the men’s event at Hong Kong Football Club this week, with Chi Him Wong and Tang Ming Hong above him in the seedings. Along with Matthew Lai, the four will be expected to be the contenders this week.
