The 16 court venue will host its fourth PSA World Tour Gold event featuring both women’s and men’s draws. The women’s event will run first, from the 12th-16th with the men’s event following from the 16th – 20th.

World No.1 Nour El Sherbini is the No.1 seed for the women’s event, looking to pick up her fifth title of the year to add to her impressive PSA World Championship and British Open wins earlier in 2021.

Hot on the heels of El Sherbini in the PSA World Rankings is Nouran Gohar. The World No.2 comes into this event winning two of her events, the U.S. Open and DAC Pro Classic and will be determined to narrow that gap even further in her final tournament of 2021.

Defending Gold tournament champion Sarah-Jane Perry has fond memories from the Black Ball Sporting Club and will be determined to put her small injury problems behind her to put up a strong fight to defend her Gold title.

The favourite for the men’s event is reigning World Champion and World No.1 Ali Farag. Farag was on the end of a narrow defeat in last year’s final in December, losing out to compatriot Fares Dessouky in five games.

Strong competition to Farag comes from New Zealand’s Paul Coll. Recently achieving his highest World Ranking of No.2, Coll is in the form of his life. This form was on display at the recent Canary Wharf Classic, where Coll got the better of World No.1 Farag in an impressive four games.

Mohamed Abouelghar takes on former World No.1 James Willstrop is the pick of the men’s first round encounters, whereas in the women’s draw, a match up between Belgium’s Tinne Gilis and talented young Egyptian Farida Mohamed is sure to be an exciting match to entertain the Cairo crowd.
