Atlanta Open: Tournament Preview

1 June 2021

The first event of the week takes place on American soil, with the Atlanta Open beginning on Wednesday 2 May, held at Life Time Athletic Sandy Springs.

The Challenger 10 level men’s event is limited to only those currently living in Canada, Mexico or the United States but despite the restrictions, there will still be eleven nations represented.

Christopher Gordon will be the top seed for the event, and he is one of four American in the top five seeds. However, due to the June rankings update, No.3 seed Faraz Khan will actually be the player who sits highest in the World Rankings as the tournament starts.

Spencer Lovejoy and Timothy Brownell are the other Americans in the top five seeds, with Jamaica’s Christopher Binnie being the No.2 seed. England’s Mark Broekman, Pakistani Abdul Malik Khan and Mexico’s Miled Zarazua make up the rest of the seeds.

The event takes place from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 May at the Life Time Athletic Sandy Springs in Atlanta. Follow the PSA Challenger Tour on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates from the event.
