R.D.I. Polska Enjoy Open: Poleschuck Takes Victory

Israel’s Daniel Poleschuck has claimed the third title of his professional career, after securing the victory at the R.D.I. Polska Enjoy Open Challenger 3 in Bielsko-Biala.

The event saw just two foreign players feature, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forcing entry restrictions on the event, meaning Poleschuck and Ireland’s Eddie Mcfarlane, both of whom who live in Poland, were able to enter.

The Israeli showed his class throughout, coming through all four matches in the tournament at Enjoy Squash without dropping a game, spending just 82 minutes on court.

He started with a comfortable win over Mateusz Godzic, before victories over Przemyslaw Atras and No.3 seed Jakub Gogol saw the Israeli reach the final.

There, the World No.438 came up against No.8 seed Jakub Pytlowany, who had dispatched the tournament’s top seed, Filip Jarota, in the semi-finals. Poleschuck had no issues, coming through the final in just 25 minutes to claim the title.
