Kish Yasi Cup: Tournament Preview

For the third time in 2021, the Challenger Tour visits the Asian country of Iran, as the Kish Yasi Cup takes place on Kish Island from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 May.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic around the world, this Challenger 5 level tournament has been restricted to only domestic entries, with the entirety of the 24-man field hailing from Iran.

With two wins to his name already this year, having captured the Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Iranian Navy Army and Zarbaf Farahan Squash Tournament crowns, top seed Sajad Zareian Jahromi will look to become just the third person to reach three wins since the turn of the New Year.

The World No.189 will face competition from Mohammad Kashani, Navid Maleksabet, Amin Ataei and Sami Ghasedabadi, all members of the world’s top 400.

The event takes place from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 May at the Kish Squash Complex in Iran, where Sajad Zareian Jahromi is the top seed for the tournament. Follow the PSA Challenger Tour on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates from the event.
