How to Watch the British Nationals LIVE

13 February 2020

World class British squash descends on Nottingham this week as the AJ Bell British National Championships take place from Thursday, February 13 with action LIVE on SQUASHTV, and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour, along with the official SQUASHTV YouTube page.

The annual competition sees 32 of the best British players take part, with 16 men and 16 women battling it out for the chance to be crowned British Nationals champion at the end of the week.

Welshman Joel Makin is the top seed in the men’s draw, and he will be aiming to become the non-Englishman to win the title since Scotland’s John White was victorious in 2004.

Along with Makin, Greg Lobban and Alan Clyne will be the flying their flags to try and become the first non-Englishman to win in 16 years, with the Scottish duo both aiming for a first Nationals title.

James Willstrop is the reigning AJ Bell British Nationals champion, having beaten Daryl Selby in last year’s final. The pair are both in the draw for this year’s crown, with Willstrop looking for a fourth title, while Selby will be aiming for a second crown, following his 2011 victory.

The reigning women’s champion, Tesni Evans, will not feature this week due to an injury she suffered at the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions in New York in January.

Sarah-Jane Perry will be the No.1 seed for the event, and the English World No.7 will be aiming for her second Nationals title, following her success in 2015.

The likes of Alison Waters and Victoria Lust, both inside the top 16 of the World Rankings, will also be aiming for glory, with the former having won the Nationals title four times previously, in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014.

Coverage from the AJ Bell British National Championships will commence at 12:00 (GMT) on Thursday, February 13 when first round action begins.
