English Duo Jonah Bryant and Saran Nghiem Claim RC Pro Series 2024 Titles

English pair Jonah Bryant and Saran Nghiem impressively claimed the RC Pro Series 2024 presented by Telcoin yesterday at The Racquet Club in St. Louis, claiming their fifth and fourth respective titles.

After downing the No.2 seed in the previous round, No.3 seed Saran Nghiem started strongly in her final clash with No.4 seed Riya Navani by taking the first two games 11-5, 11-8 to move into the driving seat and need just one game to claim the win. The spirited and determined Navani was not going down without a fight and scored two extremely tight games 12-10 and 11-9 to force a decider. The higher seeded Englishwoman regained her composure for the crucial fifth game and stormed to victory, winning 11-2 to pick up the title.

In the men’s event, England’s top junior Jonah Bryant was featuring in his biggest final to date, taking on the experienced Mexican Cesar Salazar for the 15k title.

Bryant has been in superb form and carried that into the title decider as he started strongly to take the first game 11-3, showing no sign of any nerves.

The Englishman then faced a stronger test from the World No. 49 in the following game but held on strongly to win 11-8 and double his lead, moving him to within one game of capturing the biggest title of his career.

Salazar was determined to give a better showing of himself in the third game and try to find a way back into the match. The Mexican found more joy in the third but the speed and accuracy of Bryant was too much for Salazar and at 10-9 match ball, Bryant converted to win in straight games.
