City Tattersalls Group Australian Open 2024 – Day One: How to Watch Live

The City Tattersalls Group Australian Open 2024 gets underway today at the University of Sydney as 32 players will compete for places in the second round of the PSA World Tour Bronze event. Action across both courts will be streamed live on SQUASHTV with play commencing from both courts at 15:00 (GMT+11).

On court 1, only one home player is in action as 4-year-old former World No.1 Rachael Grinham takes part in her 300th PSA event. Grinham will take on 19-year-old Haya Ali in the penultimate match on court one on the opening day, looking to score a 513th win on tour. Earlier in the day, in form Malaysian Aira Azman will look to continue her impressive season as she takes on Singapore’s Wai Yhanna Au Yeong. Azman will be determined to score the win and set up an all-sibling affair with older sister Aifa in the next round.

French duo Brice Nicolas and Edwin Clain have made the journey across to Australia and both feature on court 1 on the opening day. Nicolas is first top as he takes on fellow European Yannick Omlor whist Clain will look to score a win over Hong Kong’s Matthew Lai to move into the second round.

Over on court 3, half of the players will be looking to utilise their home advantage in efforts to progress to the next round. An all Austraian affair between Jessica Turnbull and wildcard Madison Lyon will open play with the wildcard hopeful of scoring an upset over the Aussie No.1. Leading Australian male Joseph White is next onto court as he takes on World No.64 Abhay Singh. White is one of three home players featuring on day one as wildcards Rhys Dowling and Dylan Molinaro will also be looking to secure upsets against Spencer Lovejoy and Nour Zaman.
