Life Time Chicago Open: Semi-Finalists Decided

Top seed Mohamed ElSherbini booked his spot in the semi-finals of the Life Time Chicago Open 2023 – The Hussain Family, PSA Challenger Tour 30 event following a comfortable win over fellow Egyptian Mazen Gamal last night at the Life Time Athletic Vernon Hills club.

ElSherbini is targeting his first PSA title since the Serena Hotel Huawei International Squash Tournament back in 2019, but is just two wins from ending that title drought following an 11-1, 11-8, 11-9 triumph over Gamal.

The World No.16 will line up against No.8 seed Aly Hussein for a place in the final, with Hussein upsetting Mexico’s No.4 seed Cesar Salazar, winning 11-8, 11-4, 11-5.

The other semi-final will be contested by No.2 seed Aly Abou Eleinen and England’s Tom Walsh. They scored respective wins over USA’s Faraz Khan and Israel’s Daniel Poleshchuk.
