QuantiFi Lifetime Metrowest 2023: Quarter finalists decided in Massachusetts

We’re down to the quarter finals of the QuantiFi Lifetime Metrowest 2023 as rounds one and two concluded over the weekend in Massachusetts.

Mohamed Sharaf and Shawn Delierre scored the only upsets in the opening round as they recorded 3-0 and 3-1 scorelines over Muhammad Ibrahim Noorani and Karim Elbarbary.

The top eight seeds entered the fray on day two to join the round one winners in hoping to book a quarter final spot. Surprise round two participant Mohamed Sharaf scored another seeding upset as he overcame No.6 seed Vini Rodrigues in straight games to move into the final eight.

The match of the day came from Colombia’s Nicolas Serna and Pakistan’s Muhammad Farhan Hashmi, who played out an entertaining five game clash, lasting 81 minutes. No.7 seed Serna found himself 2-1 down in the contest but managed to earn leads in the following two games to win them 11-7, 11-8 and avoid an early exit.
