Nouran Gohar v Olivia Clyne

The final of the Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup will see World No.1 and defending champion Nouran Gohar take on the in-form home favourite Olivia Clyne for the title at the Cincinnati Country Club.

The pair have met four times previously on Tour, and Clyne is yet to take a game off the Egyptian. Gohar has won all four meetings in straight games, but the pair have only played once in the last five years. Their first three matches all came prior to 2018, and this will also be the first time the duo have met in a final.

Gohar came into this event as the defending champion, and after dropping her opening game of the week, she has been in imperious form. She has defeated three compatriots en route to the final, knocking out Mariam Metwally, before then beating both Sana Ibrahim and Salma Hany in straight games.

Clyne has had to come through an extra match to reach her second final in three tournaments. After beating Hana Moataz in a deciding game on the opening day of the competition, she has then gone on to get the better of compatriot Olivia Fiechter, Canadian No.1 Hollie Naughton and World No.10 Georgina Kennedy to make the final.

Can Gohar successfully retain the Bahl and Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup crown? Or will Clyne score a massive upset to down the World No.1?
