USA No.1 Amanda Sobhy Withdraws From Upcoming Bahl & Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup

World No.5 and USA No.1 Amanda Sobhy has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Bahl & Gaynor Cincinnati Gaynor Cup after sustaining an injury in her last outing at the Cleveland Classic last week.

Sobhy wasn’t able to finish her match against eventual champion, Georgina Kennedy and hasn’t been able to recover in time for the next PSA World Tour Silver event.

Egypt’s Rowan Elaraby has now become the No.2 seed for the event and will receive a bye in round one. The same goes for the new leading USA player in the draw, Olivia Fiechter, who has moved to No.4 seed.

Egypt’s World No.19 Nada Abbas has moved into the top eight seedings and will also achieve a bye in round one, before facing one of her compatriots, Nadine Shahin or Sana Ibrahim in round two.

Fellow Egyptian Yathreb Adel joins the 9/16 seeds and will face Hong Kong’s Tsz-Wing Tong, who completes the draw.
