Challenger Tour Weekly Preview: Sole Event In England

There will just be the one tournament taking place on the Challenger Tour this week, with the Harrogate Squash Open being held on English soil.

This follows a week where Melissa Alves was victorious at the Monte Carlo Classic, claiming her joint-biggest Tour title. Elsewhere, Amina Orfi and Emyr Evans were victorious in Sutton Coldfield, while Alfredo Avila won the HSC International Squash Open.

Harrogate Squash Open
The only event of the week on the Challenger Tour will be the Harrogate Squash Open, which will take place from Thursday, December 8 to Sunday, December 11.

The New Zealand duo of Lwamba and Temwa Chileshe will be the top seeds for the men’s Challenger 3 competition, with fellow Kiwis Joel Arscott and Elijah Thomas also in the 16-man draw for the event.

Scotland’s Alasdair Prott and Nigerian Adegoke Onaopemipo will join the English trio of Perry Malik, Finnlay Withington and Lewis Doughty among the eight seeds for the competition, with Jonah Bryan, Aaron Allpress and Josh Rowley, the latter of which being the tournament’s wildcard, as the other English players in the draw.
