Amanda Sobhy v Nour El Tayeb

Sobhy v El Tayeb H2H

No.1 seed Amanda Sobhy and No.3 seed Nour El Tayeb have already met three times this season with the Egyptian leading the H2H 2-1. El Tayeb won the last encounter at the U.S. Open in October in confident style.

Sobhy will be looking to level the score for the season as the two 29 year olds meet again on the PSA World Tour.

Squash Levels prediction

Our friends at SquashLevels have predicted another win for Egypt’s El Tayeb, by a 3-1 margin. Giving Sobhy just a 24% chance of capturing the match.

Sabrina Sobhy v Joelle King

Sobhy v King H2H

Surprise semi-finalist Sabrina Sobhy features in a Gold event semi-final for the first time in Singapore and like her opponent is yet to drop a single game. Sobhy is yet to score a win over the New Zealand No.1 in eight attempts and with the World No.5 in arguably the form of her career, can Sobhy break the streak and reach the final?

Squash Levels prediction

SquashLevels haven’t given Sobhy much hope in this encounter and have her losing out in four games to the recent New Zealand Open Champion.

Joel Makin v Mohamed ElShorbagy

Makin v ElShorbagy H2H

The first men’s match of the day’s play will be an all-British battle between Wales’ Joel Makin and England’s Mohamed ElShorbagy. The last two meetings between the pair have come in Manchester, in the finals of the Manchester Open 2022 and the British National Championships. Makin took the Silver PSA title whereas ElShorbagy captured the National title.

ElShorbagy has been on an incredible run int he start of this season, capturing three PSA titles already excluding the inaugural Carrus Nation’s Cup. Makin will be determined to find his way back inside the world’s top 10 and what better way to do it than taking out the most in form player in the world.

Squash Levels prediction

A 3-1 win for ElShorbagy has been predicted by SquashLevels, with only a 26% chance of victory being given to Makin.

Diego Elias v Mostafa Asal

Elias v Asal H2H

‘The Puma’ versus ‘The Bull’ closes out semi-finals day in Singapore with Diego Elias taking on Mostafa Asal for the sixth time on the PSA World Tour. Elias is yet to register a win over the Egyptian Wonder-kid in the previous five attempts, four of which have gone all the way to five games and all lengthy affairs.

Elias dethroned Asal at the recent U.S. Open in October with Asal exiting the tournament early on. The World No.4 has since captured the Grasshopper Cup and looks in terrific form yet again heading into this exciting contest.

Squash Levels prediction

Another victory for Asal has been predicted by SquashLevels, but by a 3-1 margin this time instead of the usual five-set thriller.
