QPCC Premiere Squash Tournament: Tournament Preview

The Challenger Tour travels to Trinidad and Tobago for the first time this week, with the QPCC Premiere PSA Squash Tournament taking place from Tuesday, November 1 to Saturday, November 5 in Port of Spain.

The Queen’s Park Oval, more famous for hosting cricket matches, will be the venue for the Challenger 5 level competition, which will see Colombia’s Andres Herrera as the top seed.

The Colombian comes into the event off the back of reaching the final of the Greenwich Open, and he will be aiming to go one better this week on the Caribbean island.

Canada’s Cory McCartney, current World Junior Champion Rowan Dammin and the New Zealand duo of Anthony Lepper and Elijah Thomas are all among those seeded. Carlos Vargas, Noah Meredith and Maceo Levy round out the top eight seeds.

There will be six home hopefuls in action in Port of Spain. Colin Rasmara, Seth Thong, Zachary Loquan, Brandon de Montrichard, Joel Augustine and Nicholas Lequay will all be in action, along with a further group of Caribbean players, including Bermuda’s Taylor Carrick.
