King Withdraws From Upcoming South Western Women’s Open

30 August 2022

World No.5 & New Zealand No.1 Joelle King has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the upcoming South Western Women’s Open due to injury.

Egypt’s Rowan Elaraby is now the No.3 seed in the event and England’s Georgina Kennedy replaces King as she becomes a top-four seed for the Gold level event,

Wales’ Emily Whitlock now joins the top eight seeds and will receive a bye in round one. She will now face the winner of an all-Egyptian clash between Hana Ibrahim (who is now a 9/16 seed) and Nour Aboulmakarim.
