The final qualifying round of the Samson Seattle Open, PSA M10 tournament saw all but one of the top four seeded players seal their spots in the main draw action with Micah Franklin being the only seed to miss out after losing to Ahsan Ayaz.

Ayaz was in control throughout the course of the four-game fixture and, despite dropping the third game, held on impressively to wrap up the win with an 11-5, 11-8, 5-11, 11-6 margin of victory against number three seed Franklin.

The 17-year-old is aiming to reach the quarter-final stage of a PSA World Tour main draw for the first time in his career but will need to defeat fellow Pakistani Shahjahan Khan if he is to fulfil that goal.

For the other seeds though, it was plain sailing as Auguste Dussourd, Ismail Rauf and Nick Sachvie all managed wins over Dylan Cunningham, Stuart Hadden and Mark Broekman, respectively.

Rauf was the only one to be put under any real pressure after Hadden took him all the way to five games but he steadied the ship to secure a place in the main draw.

The World No.211 will go up against Angus Gillams next while Dussourd and Sachvie will look forward to respective clashes against Ashley Davies and Andrew Schnell with the latter matchup set to be an all-Canadian affair.
