Letourneau Powers Past Pelaez at Livestuff Open

Canada’s Danielle Letourneau eased into the quarter-final of the Livestuff Open, PSA W5 event after a sensational straight games victory over number one seed and title favourite Catalina Pelaez.
Letourneau stormed into an early lead with Pelaez unable to cope with the World No.56’s style of squash. She kept it up in games two and three, dropping just a solitary point in the third, to complete an 11-5, 11-6, 11-1 triumph.
She will go up against Melissa Alves in the next round after the Frenchwoman downed compatriot Marie Stephan in a 3-0 victory.
Georgina Stoker is also through to the quarter-final after she dispatched Thaisa Serafini in straight games. The Englishwoman controlled proceedings at the Livetechnology Holdings to set up a quarter-final clash with Hollie Naughton who defeated Nicole Bunyan.
Belgium’s Nele Gilis will compete in the next stage after she beat Julia Le Coq in three with Reyna Pacheco set to be her opponent there after she eliminated Lindsay Stanley on home soil.
Nikki Todd and Diana Garcia will face off in the other quarter-final tie after they scored respective victories over Nabilla Ariffin and Kelsey Engman.
