Graham Secures Fiberglass Open Main Draw Berth

England’s Anthony Graham produced a superb performance to come back from a game down to defeat Amaad Fareed in the final qualifying round of the Champion Fiberglass Open, PSA M10 event.

The World No.195 was on the back foot though from the start of the encounter and went a game down to his opponent. He rallied and fought back impressively to secure an 8-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-8 victory to move on to the main draw.

A difficult fixture against compatriot Eddie Charlton lies in store for Graham, particularly as Charlton is one of the favourites to take the title.

Meanwhile, Clinto Leeuw saw off Faraz Khan in what was a high-octane and bruising affair. The first game went to Leeuw on the tie-break but Khan battled back and the match was tied heading into the fifth game. Leeuw pulled away mid-game to record an impressive victory and he will meet Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi in the first round of the main draw.

Cameron Stafford progresses through to the next round after dispatching Albert Shoihet in straight games. Pakistan’s Danish Atlas Khan will be his opponent in round one.

Leandro Romiglio is also advances to the main draw after easing past Diego Gobbi with a 3-0 triumph. Number one seed Henrik Mustonen will line up against Romiglio in what promises to be an engaging encounter.
