Joel Hinds came out on top after a climactic five game affair with number three seed Edmon Lopez Moller to move in to the final of the Belfast Open, PSA M5 tournament.

The top seed from England dropped the opening game to his Spanish opponent but struck back to take a 2-1 lead. A dramatic tie-break ensued in the fourth game which saw a number of gruelling, energy-sapping rallies take centre stage. Moller narrowly managed to edge it to level things up but Hinds strode into an early lead in the fifth and final game to take a hard-fought 8-11, 11-9, 11-5, 10-12, 11-5 victory.

Meanwhile, Angus Gillams ensured that it was to be a battle of the top two seeds in the final after he defeated surprise package Kyle Finch to book his place in the showpiece event.

Gillams, yet to drop a game in the tournament, overcame a good start from 16-year-old Finch to climb to an 11-6, 11-6, 11-6 win.
