Leung Stuns Clegg at Challenge Cup

Wildcard Henry Leung came up with the big upset in the first round of the Contrex Challenge Cup, PSA M5 event as he shocked fifth seed David Clegg to secure passage through to the next round.

With 174 places between the pair on the World Rankings, few would have expected Leung to triumph. However, the World No.395 came up with a dominant performance that saw him lose just 7 points overall and advance from the first round of a PSA World Tour for the first time.

He will face top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar in the quarter-final after the Indian sailed past Chan Wui Ki in their first round tie.

Chang Wook Woo also made it through to the next round after he stunned Steven Liu in straight games and he faces fellow qualifier Chris Lo in the next round after the Hong Kong-born player dumped out seventh seed Basem Makram.

Daehoon Jeong is the third qualifier to make it through to the quarter-final after upsetting Ko Youngjo to set up a clash with third seed Chi Him Wong. Elsewhere, Tsz Fung Yip is set to meet Tsz Hei ma in the quarter-final after the pair saw off Tsun Hei Yuen and Tsz Kwan Lau, respectively.
