Top seed Peter Creed lived up to his favourite tag by storming to victory over Jesus Camacho in the final of the British Virgin Islands Open Squash Championship, PSA Challenger 5 tournament to lift the title for the second year running.

Welshman Creed, who defeated Dane Sharp in last year’s final, romped past Cameron Stafford to secure his participation in this year’s showpiece event while Camacho upset local favourite Joe Chapman to progress.

World No.76 Creed was dominant from the outset and blitzed to a 7-0 lead in the first game before eventually taking the opener. Camacho managed to take an early lead in the second but Creed came back to add the second game to his tally.

Camacho, clearly tired after his match with Chapman the day before, couldn’t stop a superlative Creed in the third who raced to an 11-3, 11-4, 11-3 victory to claim his fifth PSA World Tour title.

“I have been on the road for seven weeks now so it’s a great way to end the season by winning my second British Virgin Islands Open Squash Championship,” said Creed.

“I have got a boat trip tomorrow to look forward to so I can relax.”
