Charlottesville Open 2024 – Semi Finals: Preview & How To Watch Live

27 September 2024

The semi-finals of the Charlottesville Open 2024 have arrived, with four players looking to book their spots in the Copper-level final at Boars Head Resort.

The two matches will see No.1 seed and defending Nick Wall take on the unseeded Moustafa Elsirty and No.5 seed Cesar Salazar face the unseeded Muhammad Asim Khan. Play gets underway from 18:00 (GMT-4) and will available to watch live on the PSA Live Streaming YouTube channel.

The first match of the day will see defending champion Wall and World No.68 Elsirty take to court. Egypt’s Elsirty fought back from 2-0, saving two match balls in the fifth game, on his way to a mammoth 100-minute victory against compatriot Ibrahim Elkabbani. Meanwhile, Wall came from behind to defeat Japan’s Ryunosuke Tsukue in four games on his way to the last four.

The other match will see Muhammad Asim Khan compete in his first World Event semi-final after defeating local favourite Aly Hussein in straight games yesterday. The 27-year-old Lahore native will have to be at his best to continue treading new ground though, as he faces the experienced Salazar, who has won seven PSA Tour titles and played over 450 matches throughout his career to date.
